This page sets out the terms under which you use Superheroines.net, how we handle your personal data, and the rules around the content hosted on the site. By using the site you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, contact hello@superheroines.net.

1. Terms of Use

You may browse, share links to, and discuss content on this site freely. You may not scrape, mirror, redistribute, or reproduce material in bulk without written permission. Content purchased through the site is licensed for personal, non-commercial viewing only — you do not receive any redistribution, broadcast, or resale rights, and forwarding, uploading, or sharing purchased files with third parties is prohibited.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase content from this site.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Privacy Policy

We collect and process the minimum personal data necessary to operate the site, fulfil purchases, and communicate with subscribers. This section explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. This policy is written to comply with the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

What we collect

• Email address — if you subscribe to the newsletter or create an account.
• Name and billing address — if you make a purchase, collected by our payment processor.
• Payment details — handled directly by our payment processor (currently PayLoadz / PayPal). We do not see or store your full card details.
• Server logs — IP address, browser user agent, referrer, and pages visited. Retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
• Analytics data — anonymised usage data via Google Analytics 4 (see Cookies below).

Why we collect it

• To deliver content and newsletters you have requested (lawful basis: contract / consent).
• To process payments and provide customer support (lawful basis: contract).
• To detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents (lawful basis: legitimate interests).
• To understand site usage in aggregate so we can improve the product (lawful basis: legitimate interests).

How long we keep it

Email addresses are retained for as long as you remain subscribed. Purchase records are retained for seven years to satisfy UK accounting and tax obligations. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics 4 default retention (currently 14 months).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers necessary to run the site: our payment processor, our email service provider, our hosting provider (Ghost.org), and Google (for analytics). Each of these is bound by their own privacy obligations.

Your rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and request portability. Under CCPA, California residents have similar rights including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell data). To exercise any of these rights, email hello@superheroines.net and we will respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the EU it is the data protection authority in your country of residence.

3. Cookies and Analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: keeping you logged in if you have an account, and measuring aggregate site usage via Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics 4 uses anonymised, IP-truncated data and does not enable us to identify individual visitors. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party marketing.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Most of the site will continue to work with cookies disabled, though account-related features will not.

4. Disclaimer

All content on Superheroines.net — films, photo comics, episodic series, photographs, and written works — is fiction. Characters portrayed are fictional and any resemblance to real persons living or dead is coincidental. Storylines, dialogue, and imagery are creative works and are not intended to depict, describe, or endorse any real person or event.

Models who appear in our productions are paid professional performers appearing voluntarily. Their participation in any production does not imply personal endorsement of any character, storyline, or theme depicted. Any opinions, beliefs, or actions attributed to a character are those of the fictional character, not of the performer.

Editorial coverage of mainstream films, television, and performers is offered as commentary, criticism, and review under the principles of fair use / fair dealing. Where editorial articles reproduce images or quote material from third-party sources, attribution is provided and content is used in good faith for the purposes of review and analysis.

5. Copyright and DMCA

All original content on Superheroines.net — films, comics, photographs, written works, logos, and trademarks — is owned by Superheroines.net or its licensors. Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution, or public display is prohibited.

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to hello@superheroines.net including: identification of the copyrighted work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material on our site, your contact details, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the copyright owner's behalf, and your physical or electronic signature. We will review and respond promptly.
